How can I help my Varicose Veins?
You can help varicose veins by elevating your legs, wearing compression stockings, staying physically active, and maintaining a healthy weight. These steps can reduce pressure in the veins and improve symptoms, but they do not eliminate varicose veins. Definitive treatment usually requires evaluation by a vein specialist.
Some simple ways to help varicose veins include staying off your feet when possible, elevating your legs when sitting, and wearing compression socks during the day.
Maintaining a healthy weight can also reduce pressure on the veins and help improve symptoms.
While these measures can help manage varicose veins, they do not make them go away. In most cases, treatment by a vein specialist is needed to fully address the problem.

Still Relying on Compression Stockings?
For many patients, compression therapy can help manage symptoms but it may not address the underlying vein condition. Our board-certified vascular surgeons offer comprehensive evaluations to determine whether minimally invasive treatment is appropriate for you.
